BILL BORDEN (Producer)
began his career in 1976 working in production with such directors as Francis Ford Coppola, Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis and Mel Brooks. Borden met director Taylor Hackford in
1979 on the set of An Officer and a Gentleman and forged a six-year alliance producing and developing films under the banner of New Vision Films.
Borden's film credits while at New Vision include Against All Odds, starring Rachel Ward and Jeff Bridges; White Nights
starring Gregory Hines and Mikhail Baryshnikov; and La Bamba starring Lou Diamond Phillips.
Borden joined A&M Films in 1985 to produce A Midnight Clear, starring Ethan Hawke, Peter Berg and Gary Sinise in addition
to the family drama A Home of Our Own, starring Kathy Bates.
Borden and new partner Barry Rosenbush founded First Street Films at Columbia TriStar in 1990. The two have several feature
films and television projects in development. The projects in development include: two children's books written by William Joyce; Santa Calls a feature film for 20th Century Fox;
A Day with Wilbur Robinson, a feature film for Walt Disney Studios; and Repair Man Jack, a thriller based on the novel The Tomb, for Beacon Communications.
Borden's film credits while at First Street Films include: The Cure, starring Brad Renfro; Desperado, starring Salma Hayek and
Antonio Banderas; Excess Baggage starring Alicia Silverstone and Christopher Walken; and Spike Lee's Get on the Bus.
His additional producing credits include: Alien Nation, starring James Caan and Mandy Patinkin; Man in the Moon, starring
Reese Witherspoon and Sam Waterstone; and Midnight Run, starring Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin.
Borden was raised in Los Angeles and studied art at California State University at Northridge. He completed post-graduate studies
at the University of International Arts in Florence, Italy, in art restoration. He currently lives in Santa Monica with his wife and three children.
